Interview with Maga from TVS

We have had some time to sit down with Maga from The Viper Squad and asked him a few questions. This is what he had to say.

This is our weekly interview. Here is what Maga had to say.

Q: First of all, what is your name,age, and where do you live?
Maga :Mika Pursiainen, 31 years old, from Jyväskylä Finland

Q: We know that you are in clan TVS, how long have you been with them, and before TVS what clans were you in?
Maga: i joined tvs in 99 or 2000 but before that, i formed team ctr - clan total reign that is, around 96, with my neighbour friends, then we went online and sometime later i joined nxs, nexus i think it was and played with acid, rock and such

Q: How did you start playing Quake or Quakeworld?
Maga: We played some duke nukem and doom and such on lan, and then naturally regular quake and then qw when it came out

Q: What are you thoughts of the Fusion Clan Arena Tournament so far? The good... the bad....
Maga:I think i share my thoughts with other tvs members and we all like how admins seem to put effort to it all. also, we have never got official games like that - many games in raw - all organized by admins, it has been very nice. The bad things has to be all the strange fuss ppl havent used to.. resets and re-resets, it makes it all feel unready but, we are happy to participate and have had pretty good time.

Q: You have been playing in the EQL for many seasons, and most people in the Quakeworld Community have ranked Milton as one of the best players not just in TVS, but perhaps of all time.... while this could just be an opinion to some.... who in your opinion was a player you admired?
Maga: I think I wouldnt do justice to milton's efficiency by even whispering anyone else

Q: There has been 6 maps included in the tournament, what map have you enjoyed the most ?
Maga: dm3, but, i have to add, i dont know other maps at all, just regular maps and so..

Q: Would you like to see any other maps included? If so, which one ?
Maga: Well why not some episode maps? they have to feel new, because we never play those, but still everyone knows them

Q: Squeeze was one of the best North American players in Clan Arena for the longest time, he hasn't featured for any of the TVS games so far, do you think we might see him in action?
Maga: I really dont know. He comes and goes and no one really knows when we see him again ... and ca games are mostly played spontaneously,so i think not

Q: We know you guys are competing in TDM in the EQL season 17... do you think you have a good chance of winning there?
Maga: Definitely a good chance

Q: Do you guys think you might also win the Fusion Tourney? You have only lost vs The Norse and in which happened to be your first game of the tournament.. now that you guys have played more games.. you are starting to look like a very strong contender to win as well... who has been your toughest opponent besides the norse?
Maga: I didnt play on our game vs sd, and havent seen all games, but maybe team god was pretty capable

Q: Anything else you would like to share with the community before we go?
Maga someone please put up more like ca. 2on2, dmm4, ffa tourneys please !!!

Q: We will try to have next season if everything goes well a division structure....
Maga: Just imagine everyone rolling around death32c like on the old days :>
